This is George's first attempt at blogging (with his assistant, Melinda)!

I'm an avid amateur astronomer and scuba diver!

George: If you meet a friendly, easy-going, and enthusiastic guy walking down the street, or showing stars to someone through his telescope, it just might be me. Places I’ve lived: Lansing, MI [22 yrs]; Fort Worth, Texas [18 yrs], Tucson, Arizona [11 yrs] Education: B.S. in Eectrical Engineering from Michigan State University. Go Spartans! My passions in life are astronomy, SCUBA diving, photography, and travel. Politics: right-wing Republican Religion: gave it up for Lent Favorite places to visit: Grand Canyon, Arizona in June for the annual star party. Beqa Lagoon, Fiji. I’ve been there 4 times! Enjoy puttering around the workshop. I built my own observatory in my back yard here in Tucson. Made an electronic sign for my front yard who’s numbers light up in sequence. I STILL want to make a horn for my truck that goes “meep-meep” like the road runner! My favorite board game is Monopoly. HUGE collection of movies on DVD. I built my own speakers for my home theater. How good is the audio? When I watch Jurassic Park, the water in MY glass shakes when the T-Rex stomps the ground! If you aren’t having fun, you are doing something wrong!
